CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION OF TABLE RESERVATIONS
In the event that guests are late for their table reservation, we hold the table for 15 minutes as standard. During this time a colleague will attempt to contact the guest and establish an expected arrival time. If we are not notified of a delay, or if we are unable to reach the guest, after 15 minutes we will hand over the table to waiting guests arriving without a reservation.
In order to prevent losing a booking, we ask that guests who are not able to arrive within 15 minutes of the booked time, please let us know as soon as possible by phone, so that we have time to find a solution for the changed time. We also ask guests who arrive in a larger or smaller group than specified in the original reservation to please inform us before their arrival, so that we can try to accommodate them.
In the interior of our restaurant after 6pm, during the dinner service, we operate a smart casual dress code.
Before 6pm and on the terrace during the summer season, guests are welcome in casual attire.
At Bombay we love children, many of us are parents and we know all about the joy of spending time with the little ones in our families.
We also know that there are certain times and activities which are enjoyable for adults but not so much fun for children. We aim to create an ambience which is calm and relaxing for our adult guests to focus on enjoying the culinary pleasures of a great night out in a top restaurant.
For this reason, we kindly ask that guests do not bring children under 12 years of age after 6pm.
Unfortunately, the indoor areas of our restaurant are not suitable for animals, so we kindly ask that guests do not bring pets.
In the case of the tables on the terrace during the summer, we are very happy to welcome your four-legged friends too.
Our restaurant does not have its own dedicated parking spaces or parking service.
Parking is available in the surrounding streets and in the many parking garages in the area. If required, our colleagues will be happy to help call and order a chauffeur service or taxi when guests are leaving.
According to current legislation, our restaurant is non-smoking.
The use of IQUOS and other electronic cigarettes is also not allowed in the restaurant area. In winter, smoking is possible in the public ashtrays on the terrace in front of the restaurant. During the summer, when there are also tables on the terrace, there is unfortunately no smoking area in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant. Thank you for your cooperation!
If guests would like to bring a cake to our restaurant for any reason, we will provide the opportunity to do so.
We ask guests to pay special attention to two factors in this. Firstly, we can only accept a cake on the day of the table reservation. Furthermore, we can only accept a cake made in a ‘cukrászda’ (Hungarian specialist cake shop), for which we ask that guests always include a receipt and a statement of origin. In the absence of these, due to the current regulations, we cannot accept the cake.
CONSUMPTION OF BEVERAGES FROM AN EXTERNAL SOURCE
We proudly offer a well-equipped bar and a wide range of drinks. As such, consumption of drinks bought elsewhere is not accepted in the restaurant by default.
If you require any specific drink, please let us know before booking a table and we will do our best to provide it.
SPLITTING THE BILL
If guests dining together at the same table would like to pay individually, we kindly ask that they let us know at the time of booking, or at the latest upon arrival.
Despite our best efforts, it may not always be possible for us to divide the bill individually according to consumption. This could happen during especially busy dinner services, or in the case of large groups. We thank you for your understanding.
