Healthy and balanced eating
We present the characteristic flavors of India on one plate. This is Thali
Thali is the most iconic specialty of BOMBAY Budapest. If you love Indian cuisine, you will love Thali too! And if you don’t have much experience with Indian food yet, Thali is a great way to get to know more.
Thali is not just a dish, but a complete meal. At Bombay, Thali is served in traditional copper bowls on a tray. This large copper tray includes your complete meal. The Thali tray holds 5 different dishes and a dessert in 6 copper bowls (Katori). Besides those, in the middle of the tray, you’ll find basmati rice, crispy cumin papadam, and a real Tandoor-baked Naan bread to complete the feast.
The Indian Thali meal contains a combination of various grains, lentils, vegetables, chutney sauces, yogurt dips, or pickles, as well as a combination of ghee and traditional spices referred to as Indian butter.
In terms of nutrition, Thali provides a complete, balanced diet that includes carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, minerals, and fibre.

We would like to draw your attention to the following. When making Thali, we strive to always use the freshest and best ingredients. However, some ingredients may not be available, or the quality of available ingredients may not reach the level which we are happy to serve you. In such cases, we may need to replace them with alternative ingredients that meet our high-quality requirements. Such changes are only minor and do not affect the overall enjoyment of Thali. It is also possible for the chef or kitchen staff to change the presentation of food previously photographed. For the reasons detailed above, we may deviate from the serving shown in the photos on the website or from the ingredients in the food descriptions without prior notice. If you have an intolerance to any of the ingredients, please let the server know when ordering.
Only a limited amount of Thali is available, and it may well run out during the lunch period. If you would like to taste Thali specifically, please let us know when you book your table. In this case, the kitchen can prepare so that we can be sure to serve you.
